Adding Badges

The package owner is encouraged to add badges to the GitHub README file. We provided a badge for the current version and a badge for monthly downloads.

Both HTML and markdown format are supported.

To add a badge like the one shown above, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the package detail page and scroll down to the badge section.
  2. Click the HTML/Markdown link to copy the code to the clipboard.
  3. Paste the code into your README file and commit it to GitHub.
